The program has been well received by the communities as innovative and much needed. In fact, as the Frogtown and Summit-University funding for Weed and Seed ended, it was current and former residents from the two communities that kept the program going through its lean years.

For example, Stan Gardner, a long time neighborhood resident, actively engaged community organizations to stay involved with the Shop with Cops. Jeff Gardner, owner of The Laundry Doctor in the Summit-University neighborhood, worked with various business and association's to garner financial and in-kind support for the program.

Over the last few years the Target Corporation and the Midway Target has stepped up to become the primary fiscal sponsor for the Shop with Cops program. This partnership along with the St Paul Police Department, has allowed the program to grow with a vision for expanding to other communities.

If you would like to know how you can become involved with the Shop with Cops program please contact us via e-mail or phone.
